printing works in ubuntu gutsy now, and it is so much easier than ever to set up. deleting my old printer definition from before the upgrade and then replugging the printer allowed the autoconfigure stuff to kick in, and it is great. the printer is broadcast over the network, and I was able to instantly set up shared printing from OS X, windows, and linux client machines, all using the printer on my ubuntu server.
