called the police last night on a man who was assaulting his girlfriend who worked in a candy store at the mall. they did nothing and told me it was just boyfriend/girlfriend stuff. now there is one more person waiting to kill me.

I am now using yubnub for my search engine. It’s pretty neat, basically a way to add search keywords that dispatch to different kinds of searches.

my massive noisy heat generating server is now located outside of my office, along with the rest of the various network, UPS, VoIP, and other computer equipment that stays running 24×7 but I don’t need to interact with daily. it’s soooo quiet.

blogs, social networking sites, bug trackers, skype, and many other tools are great, because sometimes spam messages sent to me in email are blocked. these other tools are fantastic as a way to supplement my daily intake of garbage and spam messages.

today has been a good day so far, deleted most of what I wrote yesterday

figuring out simpler ways to do things is good.

Started using the Google Calendar Command Line tool.

I like using the gnome-blog applet for posting to my blog.

I also like posting code snippets (see my last post). The blog applet needs support for code snippets, not just bold, italic, and links. I know, I know, apt-get source gnome-blog.
